Thanks to Tony Whitfield

Good Morning KISS fans!! When last I wrote, I was thanking the people that have touched Zachary's life in the past several months. I have a extremely long list; but plan on recognizing each one over the next few weeks. These people are very special to Zachary and I and are branded in our hearts forever. They are more than friends now; they are family. Like a fan's relationship with KISS, it's a very special place; that is where they lie in Zachary's world.

So, the next member of our team and family I would like to recognize is Tony Whitfield from LA. I started speaking to Tony several months ago, in which seems like years now. He became involved with Zachary's story when he read about him on KISSONLINE in December. Not long after he read about Zachary's story, he spoke with his big brother, Dave Kennoin, a songwriter; about writing a song of love for Zachary. I was later in contact with Tony after answering several emails from him. As time went on, we became closer and his relationship with Zachary began to grow. Not only does he understand what the music of KISS does for Zachary; but he understands him completely. Well, not many people can do that; but he is one of the few that can and has crossed the "red tape". Zachary looks forward to speaking to him on a weekly basis and sometimes daily. Yes, they have that kind of relationship. Understanding and love!!!

Everyday, Tony is in full mode working to help Zachary's dream of meeting Paul Stanley to come true and is getting closer by the day. He has the same determination and drive to not quit ever until Zachary gets his "chunk of paradise". He is a very giving person, as well as considerate of Zachary's needs and always says the right things to calm him down...especially that day in Myrtle Beach. He calls himself "Superhero" and yes he has proven to be the superhero he is on a daily and weekly basis. It's not just a "pet name" any longer, it is a lifestyle. This is what he believes and what we do as well.

Tony has Cerebral Palsy and has lived it all his life; but he doesn't let the illness get him down. He is the most positive person I know and can always make Zachary and I smile no matter how bad of a day we're having. Besides Zachary, Tony is the strongest and bravest person I know. He fights the constant fight of the illness, in which he continues to win; the constant criticism of the music and comic books he loves in which his race won't allow, and his positive attitude to life and that you need to live for now and the future and things will be great. He taught me to dream big for Zachary and to not take no for an answer and to NEVER QUIT!!!

So Tony, this is for you my big brother. Zachary and I thank you for everything you have done and are in the process of doing. Thanks for all the calls and emails you have made, as well as the e-cards we have received that have brightened our day. You are and always will be our big brother and Superhero even though you don't feel like what you have done is that great....it's meant the world to us both and we love you!!!
