Zachary is content for now

Hey everyone...we are still in Houston at Texas Children's Hospital and there is nothing to report as of yet. The test is continuing to be run on Zachary and we are waiting. He has had his last and final dose of Tegretol this morning and will not get anymore until he is discharged from the hospital on Friday. So we are playing the waiting game until he is sent home.

For now this is our home away from home. People are nice here, there's plenty to do, lots to see, and very busy. Neither Zachary or I look at this as a vacation full of fun and exploration...this is work and what I say medical care at it's best. Zachary is hooked up to the monitors and is free to walk around the room but cannot leave the seclusion of the room. My aunt Brenda is close by and is willing to help he and I with anything we need while we are here to make our stay here more comfortable....she will return today to check on us later.

There are volunteers here in the hospital and they bring arts and crafts by along with toys and movies for Zachary to enjoy while he is here. Yesterday there was a art contest and Zachary won the prize for the most creative shield complete with his initials and the Paul star. He won a beanie baby monkey by the name of "Cheeks". Other than not being able to leave the room, Zachary is content for now; but he does want to go home and to the zoo. The days continue to go by swiftly and hopefully we will be homeward bound soon....
